The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) brings together educators, including classroom teachers, instructional leaders, principals, and superintendents, to assist them excel in their professional careers. In early 2023, ASCD announced the launch of Witsby, a new mobile-based platform designed for professional learning and credentialing that utilizes ASCD’s credible research-based content. The platform serves as a comprehensive digital resource, providing courses and on-demand content from experts and ASCD authors to promote professional development for teachers.

According to ASCD Deputy Executive Director Penny Reinart, Witsby will meet the needs of the modern-day teacher. To provide a tailored learning experience, educators have a highly personalized tool that allows them to learn at their own pace and meet their dynamic learning needs. 

Witsby features include analytics, multiple-layered reporting tools, extensive authoring capabilities, and a playlist-building tool to customize learning journeys. The platform also has a time tracker, allowing teachers to schedule their sessions outside the formal learning days.
